CAN-PLUG is one of the most effective loss circulation materials on the market! CAN-PLUG fine can be added to your mud system to ensure the healthy circulation of your drilling fluids in fractured formations. CAN-PLUG coarse should be used as a pill, to solve more acute problems such as filling voids or to hold back aquifers so you can continue drilling.
This step is optional, but to get the best out of any mud system, a PH of 10 is optimal, though 8-10 is great! Add 1 liter of Soda Ash to a tank half full of water and mix for 1 minute, the result should be a PH of 8-10.
Pour 1 liter of CAN-LUBE into an empty container.
Add 1 liter of CAN-DRILL or CAN-CORE to the CAN-LUBE and premix well. Add more CAN-DRILL if more viscosity is required.
Add the premixed combination of CAN-LUBE and polymer to your mixing tank, then add 0.5 -liters of CAN-CLAY to the mix
if needed. Add 1KG of CAN-PLUG fine and finish filling with water while continuing to mix. Mixing the full tank for 10 minutes should result in a viscosity of 42-60 seconds.
Pour 1kg of CAN-PLUG coarse into an empty container and mix it with water, or for best results, add drilling fluid from your mud system to create an extra sticky pill.
Allow CAN-PLUG coarse 20 minutes to hydrate and expand in the fluid.
Pull up your core barrel and lift the rods a few inches from the bottom.
Pump the pill down through the rods to the problem area and let sit for approximately 20-30 Minutes.
