Our 4CORE drilling mud system consists in pre-mixing our proprietary environmentally safe lubricant with our specialized powder products, following only a few simple steps. This mix provides maximum lubrication, and allows each polymer grain to unravel evenly, creating longer and stronger chains. This protective film will adhere to the borehole walls and core, stabilizing the hole and improving core recovery even in heavily broken ground conditions.
CAN-LUBE is our proprietary water-soluble drilling lubricant that has been formulated specifically for all water-based mud systems.
CAN-DRILL is a very high molecular weight powder polymer formulated to quickly increase the viscosity of your drilling fluid.
CAN-CORE is a unique and powerful blend of powdered polymers that is perfect for hole stabilization, and to
maximize core recovery
CAN-CLAY is a high-performance liquid friction reducer, also known as clay inhibitor.
BASED ON A 1,000 LT MIXING TANK
This step is optional, but to get the best out of any mud system, a PH of 10 is optimal, though 8-10 is great! Add 1 liter of Soda Ash to a tank half full of water and mix for 1 minute, the result should be a PH of 8-10.
Pour 1 liter of CAN-LUBE into an empty container.
Add 1 liter of CAN-DRILL or CAN-CORE to the CAN-LUBE and premix well. Add more CAN-DRLL if more viscosity is required.
Add the premixed combination of CAN-LUBE and polymer to your mixing tank, then add 0.5 – 1 liter of
CAN-CLAY to the mix if needed. Finish filling with water while continuing to mix. Mixing the full tank for
10 Minutes should result in a viscosity of 42-60 seconds.
